Today was one of the freakiest weather days in chicago.

I got a call around 3pm from my best friend, Ralph, ---he said, "you better get into the basement, there are tornado warning" (Yikes, I don't want to breath)  When I looked out the window the sky was blue and the wind was calm, not more than 5 minutes later, the sky was dark gray and it started to get a little windy, and a few seconds after that the wind picked up and things were blowing past the widow, first papers, then more debris, then twigs, branches..  and I headed for the basement.

I had not been in the basement, to take cover from a tornado, since i was a tiny Austino.

I learned later that the winds were up to 80mph.

Hurricane force winds, in Chicago????.. Gosh, and now it just continues to rain.
